INFOGRAPHIC REDESIGN, THE GUARDIAN, 2005A few months into my position at The Guardian, I was given the opportunity to redesign the Infographics for the new Guardian. Working alongside Mark Porter (Art Director) and Michael Robinson (Graphics Editor), we produced many new ways to present the graphics for the new format. This was an immense project to work on as this kind of opportunity does not come around very often and I am very proud to have been a part of this.
TREELINE, THE GUARDIAN, 2005One of the graphics that I did at the time of the redesign that I am still quite fond of is the Tree Line. It shows the safe distances that different species of trees should be planted away from a building.
SHUTTLE LANDING, THE GUARDIAN, 2005This slightly eighties-esque. shuttle was taken from one of the graphics that I was working on for the redesign. This was not printed in the paper...but like the Tree Line graphic, I am still quite fond of it.
UK HOUSEPRICES, THE GUARDIAN, 2005
This was one of the graphics we looked at for the redesign. It was used in the demo run of the Berliner Guardian. This design is still in use today.
